February was full of excitement as we celebrated District successes, honored cultures and traditions across campuses and recognized Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) and academic achievements.

HLPUSD celebrated Black History Month, Presidents' Day, Lunar New Year, Valentine's Day and National School Counseling Week with student performances, classroom activities and counselor appreciation events Districtwide.

Additionally, HLPUSD Board members, students, staff and the greater community gathered to support our VAPA and fine arts showcases. During the events, school teams shattered records, placed in numerous categories and took home several championships.

This month, we also highlighted our top-performing instrumental students from all four high schools during our first-ever High School Honor Band Concert. It has been an immense joy seeing our students explore and grow as artists, athletes and scholars over the past seven months.

As a reminder, Hacienda La Puente Unified is accepting enrollment applications for the 2023-24 school year, with child development opportunities available for students ages two and up.
