Principal's Message

Welcome to Newton Middle School, the proud home of the Knights. Every day, At Newton, we believe that all students are capable of learning, growing, and achieving high academic success. Our staff works collaboratively and effectively to ensure that all students achieve academic, social, and personal growth and success.   

Newton is an outstanding middle school and was recently named a School to Watch by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform, and has been recognized as a California Distinguished School, Gold Ribbon School, and ERP Honor Roll School for multiple years.  

Newton Middle School’s philosophy that “there is something for everyone” is actualized by offering a wide array of rigorous, challenging, and enrichment courses/clubs that foster critical thinking, creativity, curiosity, and the development of the whole child such as: ELD, honors accelerated, Spanish Dual Immersion, performing and fine arts, world language courses, engineering courses, ASB, E-Sports, Speech, Good News Club, Dance, Color Guard, Robotics, & Intramural sports.
